Balance

One of the most important things that I can share with my clients is that the goal is to attain balance. My experience working with eating disorders and disordered eating has taught me that we are not going to restrict anything, unless medically necessary. There is no food removed from the menu. There is no reason not to enjoy 'play foods' as well as 'nutritious foods'. Everything can be good for you in balance. You are a balance of physical, mental, and spiritual. If your mental health is suffering because of physical restrictions then it is time to evaluate the motives behinds your patterns.
