Self Love

Arguably, one of our biggest challenges is to show ourselves as much love as we offer to others.

 

Why do we find it so hard to embrace self-love? To accept our flaws, imperfections, quirks, and uniqueness?

 

My challenge for each of us is to practice self-kindness throughout the month... (and ideally, all year, all life!) but let's begin with small steps. Regardless of where you are in your journey of self-love, take a moment to look in the mirror and acknowledge one wonderful thing you did today, a positive thought you had, or choose a part of yourself that you appreciate (my pinky, my big heart, my unruly hair that never cooperates) and then celebrate it! Write that thought on a slip of paper and drop it in a jar. Try to add a note to the jar each day this month, but allow yourself the grace to miss a few days occasionally. Save this jar for those tough days that come up this year, pull out a tiny love note to yourself, and revisit a little self-love.

 

We are all beautiful. We all deserve love, especially from ourselves. We are all quirky, unique, and special. Wishing you endless tiny reflections to cherish and celebrate.
